School Organization Tips

It's the start of a new semester! For the majority of people this semester has started virtually. It can be hard to stay organized while attending school at home. This week I will be sharing some organizational tips to help you stay on track.

1) Calendar

The first thing that I do at the start of the semester is write all my due dates on a calender for

each of my classes. This allows me to plan ahead and see when all my assignments are due and when I have my exams. It allows me to visualize my exams and if I see that there's a week where I have 3 exams, then I am be able to plan ahead.

2) Note taking

When you're writing notes, you don't want to start by recopying the entire PowerPoint. Instead, what I like to do is writes notes in the notes section of the slide if the teacher mentions something important.

3) Plan your Day

It's proven that if you write a to-do list, you are more likely to finish all your tasks. You should plan your day in 30 minute intervals.

For example:

11:00 am Ch. I point 1.1, 1.2, 1.3

11:30am Ch. I point 1.4, 1.5

4) Set Time Limits

Set a time limit for your apps. This allows you to limit all distractions during your school day and you are able to turn off the timers at the end of the day.

5) Clean your Workspace

I can't concentrate if my workspace is dirty. Since I have Mondays off from school, I make it appoint to clean my desk area every Monday, that way I am set for the week. Having a clean space to work on allows me to concentrate better and reduces my stress levels.
